The Black Stars will now camp in Kumasi, Ghana instead of Johannesburg after a review between the GFA and the Technical team.

Initially the team was supposed to Camp in South Africa in preparation for the tournament,” the Ghana Football Association Communications Director, Henry Asante Twum indicated, “the decision of Blackstars to camp in South Africa is a sole decision of head Coach Chris Hughton.
“‘I want to put on record that the decision to camp in South Africa is the sole decision of coach Chris Hughton. He made a proposal to the FA, and we approved it through the Youth and Sports Ministry’,” Twum affirmed.
“The decision to camp in South Africa wasn’t taken by Kurt Okraku but the head coach of the team,” he added.
The technical team and football association are now favor camping in KUMASI and will play Namibia in a pre-tournament friendly.
Even though the final Squad list is yet to be out, the date to begin the camp is on the 31st of December and tournament is set to begin in January.
