In a surprising turn of events, a fire truck from the Weija Gbawe fire service found itself engulfed in flames while bravely battling a fire at Ghana Flag, a suburb of Kasoa.
Fortunately, with the quick thinking and assistance of onlookers, the fire on the truck was successfully extinguished.
The blaze, which occurred on September 2, 2024, tragically ravaged over 10 container shops in the area, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake.
According to a report by GNA, the Kasoa fire station has been grappling with the challenge of poorly maintained fire engines since October 2023.
This struggle has forced the station to rely on the support of neighboring fire stations like Buduburam and Weija during emergencies.
Despite facing their own set of difficulties, the combined efforts of the Kasoa, Buduburam, and Weija fire stations managed to bring the fire under control.
