The media reported that he had stabbed his ex-wife, an accusation he firmly denied. Despite this, the rumors caused him to lose a lucrative contract and led to his arrest.
“It was difficult; I had no contract for 4 years. No team wanted to sign me,” Paintsil revealed. His mother’s unwavering support and prayers helped him survive this challenging period.
