Ghanaian rising star Mathew Anim Cudjoe has revealed his rationale for turning down a contract extension at Dundee United. Despite a successful season with the Scottish club, the former Ghana U17 standout opted to conclude his tenure with them.
While Cudjoe has yet to determine his next destination, he acknowledged rejecting three offers to remain in Scotland with Dundee.
“They presented me with the first contract at the beginning of the season, which I declined. They offered me a second one, which I also turned down before the third,” he explained to 3sports.com.

Cudjoe expressed gratitude to Dundee United for their support but emphasized the need to progress in his career by seeking new challenges elsewhere.
“I consulted with my father, and together we decided that I would decline the contract. As a young player, I want to move to a new team where I can play regularly and enjoy football,” he elaborated.
The 20-year-old anticipates securing a new club ahead of the upcoming season.
