Safo Newman recounts how he was advised to drugs to go 'wild' on stage

Ghanaian artiste Safo Newman, has disclosed that he has been advised to take illegal drugs in order to increase his self-confidence when performing.

No matter what these individuals say, the ‘Akokoa’ hitmaker says he is not going to listen to anything that would cause him to lose his identity.

Speaking in an interview on Accra-based radio station Hitz FM, he disclosed that people have tried to convince him to try drugs to boost his energy on stage.

Safo stated in the interview with Andy Dosty that many people struggle with his introverted personality because they don’t recognize that people’s temperaments differ from one another.

Safo has received harsh criticism for his sense of style and lackluster performance on stage since he gained popularity with his song “Akokoa” earlier this year.
