Black Stars arrive in Kumasi for Angola showdown

Twenty-two players have gathered in Kumasi to continue preparing for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Angola.

Among those who arrived on Monday after the first training session at the Accra Sports Stadium are Lawrence Ati-Zigi, Inaki Williams, Joseph Painstil, Abdul Mumin, Jerome Opoku, Kingsley Schindler, Alidu Seidu, Majeed Ashimeru, Abu Francis, Mohammed Salisu, Forson Amankwah, and Mohammed Kudus.

Earlier on Monday, goalkeepers Frederick Asare and Joseph Wollacott, along with Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Thomas Partey, Antoine Semenyo, Brandon Thomas-Asante, Ebenezer Annan, Jonas Adjetey, Tariq Lamptey, and Ibrahim Osman, took part in the training session.

Elisha Owusu and Jordan Ayew are expected to join the camp on Wednesday, increasing the squad to 24 players. Ghana is set to face Angola on Thursday, September 5, before heading to Berkane, Morocco, for their second Group F match against Niger on Monday, September 9, 2024.
