Despite the substantial damage, there were no reported fatalities or injuries. But the incident’s specifics are still unknown.

The Ghana National incident Service has begun looking into what caused the incident in the interim.

Residents who were impacted by the fire, which destroyed buildings valued at thousands of cedis, are pleading with the government to help them.

One victim, a mobile money vendor, stated that the fire destroyed his store, causing him to lose GHS 800,000.
