Black Queens Begin Preparations for WAFCON Qualifier Against Namibia

The Black Queens, Ghana’s national women’s football team, commenced their training regimen at Union Park, Legon, gearing up for the Women’s Cup Of Nations (WAFCON) final round 1st leg qualifier versus Namibia. Scheduled for Friday, December 1, 2023, this match holds significant importance for the team’s advancement.

Under the leadership of Nora Häuptle, the squad started camping on Monday at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel. Nineteen players promptly reported for duty, marking the start of an intensive preparation phase. The team recently expanded to 20 members with the arrival of two more players, Evelyn Badu and Susan Ama Duah. The anticipation builds as Gifty Assifuah and  Janet Egyir are set to bolster the squad upon their expected arrival on Wednesday.
