John Kwashie Ocloo, a 78-year-old ex-soldier, has been sentenced to 12 years in jail and will also attend a mandatory counseling session for a week. The reason behind this sentence is truly disturbing. Ocloo was found guilty of defiling a 12-year-old girl at Teshie Nungua Estates , Accra.
Apparently, he tried to lure the victim multiple times but was unsuccessful at first. However, on a second attempt, he used GH¢2 to successfully lure her to his room. It’s absolutely heartbreaking to hear that he had sex with her and repeated this horrifying act on three different occasions, using Shea butter as a lubricant. It’s crucial that justice is served in cases like these to protect the vulnerable and ensure that such incidents are prevented in the future.
