St. Thomas Aquinas Senior High School is a public senior high day school for boys located in the Osu district of Accra in the Greater Accra Region, Ghana.

Established in 1952, the school was founded to provide quality education for boys of the Accra Archdiocese of the Catholic Church, particularly for those whose parents could not afford the cost of sending their children to expensive boarding schools.

The school is currently situated in Cantonments, a suburb of Accra, and is known for its vibrant blue and yellow colors, symbolizing its rich heritage and spirit.

The school boasts four houses and a school song titled “We students of Aquinas, in striving for perfection,” which encapsulates the ethos and aspirations of its students.

Athletics play a significant role in the school’s extracurricular activities, with students actively participating in sports such as basketball, soccer, short- and long-distance sprinting, and handball.

St. Thomas Aquinas Senior High School has a strong bond with its sister school, Accra Girls Senior High School, through the St. Thomas Aquinas Accra Girls Association (STAAGA).

This association facilitates the sharing of entertainment, social activities, and educational exchanges between the two schools. The school’s motto, “Veritas Liberat,” meaning “The truth sets you free,” reflects its commitment to academic excellence and integrity.

The slogan “BEEBƐ,” derived from the native Ga language, emphasizes the importance of time management and diligence, translating to “There is no time to waste” or “waste no time.”
