Betting is evil, increase taxes to deter Ghanaian youth’ – Kofi Akpaloo urges

Presidential aspirant Kofi Akpaloo believes that instead of trying to scrap the tax on sports betting, the government should increase the taxes to discourage the youth from gambling. He argues that higher taxes would serve as a deterrent, reducing the number of young people engaging in betting activities.

The leader of the Liberal Progressive Party (LPG) described betting as “evil” and emphasized that major steps must be taken to prevent the youth from participating in it.
