Who’s the Accra Lions player set to sign for Barcelona?

Spanish giants FC Barcelona are reportedly on the verge of signing talented Ghanaian player David Oduro, who plays for Ghana Premier League side Accra Lions.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the 2006-born left-back will join the famous La Masia Academy if Barcelona are able to close in on the deal with the Accra-based side.

There is an agreement already in place for the player to make the big move to Spain.

The youngster has played for both the Ghana under-17 and under-20 national teams and has an estimated transfer value of 175,000 Euros, according to Transfermakt.

David Oduro played 25 games, starting 23 of them for Accra Lions in the Ghana Premier League last season.

He averaged 80 minutes per game and scored the equalizer in the match-week nine 1-1 draw against Bibiani Gold Stars on November 5, 2023.

He is a versatile player who can slot in as a left-central midfielder when the need arises.

David Oduro, 18, will be the first player to sign directly for Barcelona from Ghana.
