Selorm Darko, also known as “Spiderman,” successfully defended his WKU African Pro title last Saturday by defeating Edmund Akator, aka “Karma Ba,” at the Accra Sports Stadium. Selorm’s victory, achieved in 1 minute and 46 seconds of the third round, improved his record to 17 wins with just one loss.

The fight was highly anticipated, with fans of both fighters debating who would come out on top. In the end, Selorm’s experience and skill secured the win in a fierce bout.
The event, organized by the WKU and Ghana Kickboxing Association, and sponsored by Itel, Decathlon, and Twellium, saw a great turnout, offering fans a thrilling night of kickboxing and MMA action.
Mr. Steavano Tuekpe, Vice President of the Ghana Kickboxing Association, emphasized the need to revive the sport and announced plans for regular events, with the next one scheduled for December. He praised the fighters and thanked the security and medical teams for their roles in ensuring a smooth event.
Nii Adote Dzata I, former President of the association, encouraged the fighters to continue training hard for future challenges.
