Youth Arise Organization has successfully hosted the first chapter of this year’s edition of the Stepping Ahead Leadership Conference (SALC) on Wednesday and Thursday, September 25-26, 2024, at Kasoa.
The two-day conference brought together Senior High School (SHS) graduates from across the country, aiming to empower them with essential leadership skills and personal development strategies to help them live meaningful lives and make a positive impact in their communities.
The conference focused on critical areas such as leadership, personal development, self-identity, mentorship, career guidance, and making the most out of university.
SALC has established itself as a premier platform for nurturing young leaders across Ghana and in extension West Africa, with similar programs held in Benin, Togo, and Nigeria.
“Youth Arise Organization is committed to equipping young people with the skills and knowledge necessary to step ahead in their leadership journey,” said Moses Baffuor Awuah, Global CEO of the organization.
Through interactive sessions, renowned speakers, and peer-to-peer learning, participants gained insights and tools that will help them in their academic and professional paths.
The conference featured expert facilitators who shared practical experiences and expertise, inspiring participants to become change-makers in their respective communities.
Emmanuel Sosu, a participant of SALC, Kasoa says “attending SALC has helped me to be more confident in my abilities and now I am prepared to showcase my talents.”
“I also learned that mentorship from experienced professionals is invaluable. Additionally, it has helped me explore job shadowing and internship opportunities. I have started putting what I learned into practice so I can achieve my personal and career goals.”
The Stepping Ahead Leadership Conference has consistently demonstrated its impact in shaping the next generation of leaders, and this year’s edition was no exception.
Youth Arise Organization remains dedicated to empowering young people to become active, responsible, and influential leaders in their communities.
