Malta Guinness Ghana, the headline sponsor of the Women’s Premier League, has introduced special cash rewards aimed at motivating top performers in the 2024/2025 season. But will these incentives be the boost the league needs to reach new heights?
Announced by Ms. Dinah Adu Asare, Marketing Manager of Malta Guinness Ghana, during the season launch at the ghanafa Headquarters on October 15, 2024, the rewards will recognize the best player in both the Southern and Northern Zones, as well as the best coach of the season.

“These special cash awards are designed to reward the hard work and commitment of the players and coaches who contribute to the growth of the league,” Ms. Asare explained. “We’re offering GHS10,000 to the Best Coach of the season, and the top players in each zone will also receive GHS10,000 each.”
While these incentives aim to further motivate players and coaches, the question remains—will these rewards help elevate the Women’s Premier League to a higher level of competitiveness and recognition? With Malta Guinness’s continued support, many hope the league will continue to flourish and attract greater talent and attention in the seasons ahead.
