In an extraordinary display of endurance and talent, Afua Asantewaa, a distinguished Ghanaian broadcast journalist, has embarked on a mission to shatter a world record. For four consecutive days, Asantewaa has been in a sing-a-thon, reaching a remarkable 105 hours of continuous singing as of 9:00 AM this morning, December 28th.
This incredible feat equals the current world record set by India’s Sunil Waghmare in 2012. However, the celebration isn’t official yet. The Guinness World Records team still needs to review Asantewaa’s attempt to confirm if she has indeed outdone the existing record.

Asantewaa’s supporters, who have been with her every step of the way, are ecstatic about her reaching the 105-hour milestone. But Asantewaa isn’t stopping there. She plans to continue her melodious journey until tomorrow or until her strength gives out, aiming to not just break, but extend the current record.
