Ayew’s late goal sealed a 3-1 home win for Le Havre, lifting them out of the relegation zone and widening the gap between them and the bottom three teams to three points. Since joining Le Havre in December last year, Ayew has been a key figure, tallying his fifth goal of the season for the club. Additionally, midfielder Yassine Kechta contributed with two goals, opening the scoring in the 24th minute and adding another after halftime.
Despite a late goal from Strasbourg’s Frederic Guilbert, Ayew’s decisive strike secured the three points for Le Havre, greatly improving their chances of survival with six games remaining in the season.
