Emergency responders raced to the scene to begin the rescue, including members of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) and the Motorway Fire and Tollbooth Fire Services.

After being brought down safely, he disclosed that he had started therapy for a renal condition that had been diagnosed.

But the cost of his medical bills which included therapy at the Legon University Hospital had demoralised him.

He said that he had attempted suicide by climbing the pole since he couldn’t afford the expenses.
