AYIKOI OTOO QUESTIONS IF KENNEDY AGYAPONG RECEIVED ADEQUATE GUIDANCE ON HIS POLITICAL PATH

0

Former Attorney-General Joseph Nii Ayikoi Otoo recently questioned whether Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, MP for Assin Central, was adequately prepared to lead the New Patriotic Party (NPP). Despite Agyapong’s defeat in the NPP presidential primary, Otoo wondered if Agyapong had the necessary guidance for such a leadership role. On TV3, Otoo expressed his doubts about Agyapong’s political journey and readiness for leadership, suggesting that Agyapong’s resources might not be enough to prepare him for the position he sought.

“…I don’t think that anybody advised him (Kennedy Agyapong) on the way he was going,”

The NPP presidential primary saw Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia emerging victorious, with 61.43% of the total votes. Agyapong, who was Bawumia’s closest competitor, received 37.41% of the vote share. Other candidates, former Agriculture Minister Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto and former MP for Mampong Francis Addai-Nimoh, received 0.75% and 0.41% of the votes, respectively.
