Ghanaian music executive and parliamentary candidate for Okaikoi Central, Sadiq Abdulai Abu, popularly known as ‘Baba Sadiq,’ has openly criticized Stonebwoy’s latest single, “Jejereje,” calling it “filled with noise.”
The controversy began when a fan of Stonebwoy claimed on Facebook that Baba Sadiq had secretly been listening to the track. Baba Sadiq quickly denied the allegation, responding, “I don’t listen to noise. It’s not a superior artistic product.” Despite this criticism, Stonebwoy’s “Jejereje” gained rapid popularity, trending at number one on YouTube Music within 48 hours of its release and racking up over 200,000 views.

The ongoing feud between Baba Sadiq and Stonebwoy has been marked by public accusations and legal actions. Baba Sadiq previously accused the Dancehall artist of threatening his wife and displaying abusive behavior towards women, prompting Stonebwoy to file a lawsuit against him, seeking an apology and GHC3 million in damages for defamation.
Their rivalry continued during the recent 3Music Awards, where Baba Sadiq campaigned against Stonebwoy and promoted King Promise instead. This escalating tension reflects the competitive dynamics of the Ghanaian music industry, with both figures vying for influence and fan support.
