A trio has been marked for apprehension by an Accra Circuit Court for allegedly encroaching on land owned by a retired individual in Teshie, near Accra. Businessmen Eric Adjei Adjetey, 61, Emmanuel Adjei, 45, and Frank Amoako are accused of conspiring and trespassing on the property. Despite being summoned, they failed to attend court, prompting the prosecution to request arrest warrants. The court, led by Judge Jojo Amoah Hagan, obliged and has postponed the case to February 21, 2024.

The narrative outlined by Police Chief Inspector Stanley Fiosto reveals that the complainant, a pensioner residing in Teshie, legally obtained the land from the Agabwe family in 1993 and has a house there. In August 2023, Adjetey and Adjei allegedly seized part of this land, erecting a fence and initiating construction without any legal claim. When questioned by the police, they couldn’t provide evidence of ownership and implicated Frank Amoako, who has yet to assist in the investigation.
