The tournament kicks off with Ghana playing Togo, followed by matches against Niger and Benin. Coach Desmond Offei’s squad is aiming for a top-two finish to secure qualification for the Africa U-20 Championship, a tournament Ghana last won in 2021.

The Black Satellites have been intensively preparing for the competition, fresh off their victory in the 2023 All African Games. Their preparations included a mini European tour and friendly matches against Legon Cities and SMAC.

Group B features Nigeria, Burkina Faso, and Ivory Coast. The WAFU Zone B tournament runs from October 17 to October 31, 2024.
