Black Sharks qualify for 2024 Africa Cup of Nations: Beach Soccer

The Black Sharks, Ghana’s national beach soccer team, have secured a spot in the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations after defeating Cote d’Ivoire in a two-legged qualifier. Ghana triumphed with a 10-5 aggregate score, winning the first leg 5-3 at home in Keta and the second leg 5-2 away on Saturday, July 27.

In the second-leg match, the Ivorians led 2-1 at halftime, but the Black Sharks rallied with four goals in the second half to clinch the victory.

SWAG President Kwabena Yeboah congratulated Yaw Ampofo Ankrah, Chairman of Ghana Beach Soccer, saying, “It’s been a long journey. We shall eventually get to the destination.”
