Black Stars Begin Intensive Training for FIFA World Cup Qualifiers Against Madagascar and Comoros

Ghana’s national team, the Black Stars, commenced their training in Kumasi for the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Madagascar and Comoros.

Under the guidance of coach Chris Haughton, 24 players engaged in their first session at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium. Lasting around an hour, the training rigorously tested the players’ abilities.

The team continued with training at the same location on Wednesday, gearing up for their initial match against Madagascar.

Ghana aims to dominate their qualifying group, also comprising Mali, Central African Republic, and Chad, to secure a spot in the 2026 FIFA World Cup co-hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

Their opening game against Madagascar will unfold at the Baba Yara Stadium on Friday, followed by a match in Moroni against Comoros the following Tuesday.

Ghana is determined to clinch their fifth World Cup ticket through a strong performance in these crucial qualifiers.
