They could only secure a temporary solution in Tottenham’s Sergio Reguilón, who is expected to return to Spurs in the summer. Hence, the Bees are keen on Rahman, who has been excelling both domestically and in Europe since joining PAOK as a free agent after departing Chelsea.

Despite fighting for Premier League survival, Brentford sees Rahman as a strategic addition to bolster their squad, which has exceeded expectations since their promotion. Rahman’s decision to join PAOK over Norwich and Watford in the Championship has proven transformative.

The 29-year-old has been instrumental in PAOK’s impressive European run, notably scoring in their remarkable comeback against Dinamo Zagreb. Rahman’s stellar form has also attracted interest from clubs in Germany and France, as reported by Greek media outlets.
