Premier League champions FC Samartex 1996 were held to a 2-2 draw by Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca in the first leg of their CAF Champions League second-round clash at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.

Raja struck first with a 20th-minute goal from Mohamed Azrida, but Samartex equalized through Francis Gyetua’s acrobatic effort in the 37th minute. Michael Ephson then gave the Ghanaian side a 2-1 lead with a brilliant goal just before halftime.
Raja responded fiercely in the second half, with Mohamed Boulacscout leveling the score in the 63rd minute. Despite both teams pushing for a winner, the match ended in a draw.
Now, Samartex faces a challenging trip to Morocco, where they will need a win to secure a spot in the group stages of the CAF Champions League. Can they rise to the occasion?
