CS Constantine capitalized quickly, as Zakaria Benchaa opened the scoring in the 12th minute, weaving past Nsoatreman’s defense to slot the ball home. He struck again in the 27th minute, doubling the lead and leaving Nsoatreman chasing the game.
Although the Ghanaian side showed signs of improvement in the second half, they failed to convert several scoring chances. The 2-0 loss leaves Nsoatreman with a steep challenge ahead as they prepare for the second leg in Algeria. Overcoming the two-goal deficit will be critical if they hope to keep their continental dreams alive.
