Some thirty-four (34) persons who failed to take part in the just ended Ga-Homowo clean-up exercise have all have received summons to appear in court.
The 34 people reportedly failed to keep their environments clean by refusing to participate in the clean-up exercise in the Ayawaso West Municipality of the Greater Accra Region.
The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ayawaso West Municipal Assembly, Sandra Ahenkorah, disclosed this in a media interview at the municipality.
She cautioned that anyone who fails to join the clean-up exercise will be sanctioned.

“So since yesterday, we have summoned 34 people. In fact, we want all shops and businesses closed. That is the law. That is what we were asked to tell them. So we told them. So it will not be fair for someone to close the shop,” the MCE said.
She added that the 34 people did not resist and joined the exercise after the summon, but “still, we’ll send them to court, because that is a rule we should not joke about.”
