Ghanaian forward Jordan Ayew showcased his prowess with a spectacular goal, yet Crystal Palace had to settle for a draw against Everton during Monday night’s Premier League showdown. Ayew’s goal came amidst the backdrop of Roy Hodgson’s resignation earlier in the day.
Following Hodgson’s departure, former Eintracht Frankfurt manager Oliver Glasner has taken the managerial helm, succeeding the 76-year-old Hodgson, who had been sidelined due to illness but has since been discharged from the hospital.

Initially, Ayew’s goal appeared to secure three valuable points for Palace, only for Amadou Onana’s late-game heroics to change the course of the match. Onana’s header from a corner kick in the 84th minute lifted Everton out of the Premier League’s relegation zone, salvaging a crucial point for the home team at Goodison Park.
Ayew’s goal marked his third of the season, adding to a tally of eight goal involvements this campaign (three goals and five assists). Among Palace players in the Premier League, only Michael Olise has more involvements, boasting nine to his name.
