Threatening grieving families, Amo demanded substantial sums for elaborate rituals, exploiting their vulnerability.

While her partner in crime, Abraham Odotei, remains at large, Amo’s arrest followed a report by a victimized family. Subsequent investigations unveiled a pattern of deception with multiple victims. Remanded by the Koforidua Circuit Court “B,” Amo’s defense counsel’s repeated absence during court proceedings raised concerns. The prosecution, in the latest session, highlighted this issue, and the presiding Judge, Her Honour Matilda Ribeiro, insisted on a valid excuse. Granting another adjournment reluctantly, the judge set a date for December 19, 2023, warning that proceedings would continue without delay if necessary.
