Residential apartments at the Mallam Atta market in Accra have been engulfed by fire.
Reports indicate that the fire began at about 5 pm on Tuesday, resulting in significant damage.
Fortunately, nobody has been burnt; however, many people have lost their property. Meanwhile, the Ghana National Fire Service says the situation is under control.
Although the initial cause of the fire is not known, the Fire Service has stated that they will conduct an investigation into the matter.

Residents, however, have blamed the Fire Service for the delay in reaching the area.
The Service has denied these claims, insisting that they received a call at 6:08 pm and reached the location at 6:16 pm, making it unfair to claim that there was a delay.
