It is with profound sadness that the Woyongo family announces the passing of Hon. Mark Owen Woyongo, their cherished member, who died on January 17, 2024, at the Bank of Ghana Hospital. The family’s patriarch, Mr. Awini Zinge, from Nayagnia–Navrongo, shared the news of the former Navrongo MP’s demise in a press release on Thursday.

Mark Woyongo, remembered for his service as the Interior Minister, had stepped back from the political scene after the 2016 elections. The Woyongo family has recently faced another grief, with the loss of Mark’s son, Kenneth Kwotua, at 49 years old. Mark is survived by his wife, Cecilia Wuni Woyongo.
