His debut against France in the Euro qualifiers fulfilled his aspiration, closing Ghana’s pursuit of his services. Reflecting on his choice, Frimpong expressed contentment, stating, “That was nice to finally make my debut against France. It was a nice game and I was really happy about it.”
Although acknowledging the Ghanaian coach’s call, Frimpong had already made up his mind. The 22-year-old defender’s exceptional performance in the Bundesliga—contributing 13 goals across competitions—has garnered attention, with Spanish giants Barcelona showing interest ahead of the winter transfer window.
