This Friday, the Greater Accra Regional Football Association (GARFA) will kick off its eagerly awaited Division Two League, sponsored by SOCCABET, bringing an action-packed football season to fans across the region. The competition has brought together 81 ambitious clubs, all with their sights set on advancing to the prestigious Middle League and ultimately securing a place in the 2025/26 National Division One League. In an unprecedented move, the SOCCABET sponsorship will cover all participating fees for teams in the annual Middle League, marking the first time GARFA has waived these costs. This initiative is expected to enhance competition and create an inclusive environment for clubs aiming to reach the next level of Ghanaian football.
League Structure and Path to Promotion
The 81 teams are divided into five zones:
•Four zones consist of 16 clubs each.
•One zone includes 17 clubs.
To advance to the Middle League:
•The top five clubs from each zone will automatically qualify.
•The three best-performing second-placed teams across all zones will secure the remaining spots, creating a competitive pool of eight teams who will compete for promotion to the National Division One League.
