The Chief of Staff of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Michael Bogdan Osekre, is reportedly wanted by the Ghana Police Service for threatening Ghanaian sports journalist, Muftawu Nabila Abdulai.
This was disclosed in an X post by the sports journalist.

Nabila revealed on Joy Sports’ Game Plan show that he has reported Osekre to the police after receiving a threatening phone call from him due to a report he made suggesting that Osekre is being considered by the GFA to become an Executive Committee Member if coach Kwesi Appiah steps down.
He, however, added that the police have not been able to reach Osekre since he is not answering their calls.
“I didn’t even add that they asked me to lead them to go and arrest him after they called him many times, and he didn’t answer the call. I was not sure where they could find him.
“But the point is that he is needed by the police to assist investigations,” Nabilla posted on his X page today, August 17, 2024.
Nabilla had previously wrote on X that: “Chief of Staff” of the GFA, Michael Osekere called me a few minutes ago to threaten me with a physical attack in my office for reporting that he’s a potential candidate to replace Kwasi Appiah on the ExCo if the Sudan head coach decides to resign from his role.”
Adding that, “he didn’t deny the story or ask for a rejoinder (that’s if the story is false). He said I should delete his name from the post else he would come to the office and physically attack me.”
