The Minister of Youth and Sports, Mr. Mustapha Ussif, has revealed that Ghana utilized approximately $1,650,000.00 during the 2023 AFCON in Ivory Coast, constituting GH¢20,295,000.00 of the $25 million allocated budget.

Unfortunately, Chris Hughton’s team bowed out in the group stage after drawing with Egypt and Mozambique and losing to Cape Verde. Had they progressed, each player stood to receive $30,000.
