GWCL appeals to residents in Accra to use water wisely

Residents and business owners within the Western Accra area have been urged by the Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) to consume water mindfully to reduce wastage and help improve supply to other areas.

Currently, water supply to some areas in the region such as McCarthy Hill, Darkuman, Lapaz, and Gbawe has been erratic or non-existent due to technical challenges at the GWCL’s Weija Treatment Plant.

In an interview with Citi Newsroom, the Chief Manager of PR & Communications at GWCL, Stanley Martey, indicated that while his outfit was working hard to resolve the issue, the cooperation of the general public was crucial.
