Accra Hearts of Oak have ended their contract with Danish coach Martin Koopman after the team’s recent disappointing performance.
Koopman, who joined the club in August 2023, was appointed at 67 years old to replace Serbian coach Slavko Matic before the start of the season.
Assistant coach Abdul Rahim Bashiru will step in immediately while the club seeks a permanent replacement for Koopman.
Currently, Hearts of Oak sits in 11th place with 12 points after 10 matches in the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season under Koopman’s guidance.
