Here are the 3 new courses at the National Sports College

The National Sports College (NSC) has introduced three new internationally certified nutrition and fitness courses, together with the Institute of Fitness Ghana (IFG).

The newly introduced courses are Certificate in Group Fitness Instruction, Certificate in Personal Training and Certificate in Nutrition Coaching.

The National Academy of Sports Sciences USA will oversee the six-month duration of all three certificate programs, which will provide students with knowledge and abilities in their respective professions.

Speaking at the launch, Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports, Mr. Evans Bobbie Opoku, stated stated that the impact of the recently launched courses aligned with the ministry’s mission to empower and encourage a healthy lifestyle.

Participants will receive a certificate from The National Academy of Sports Sciences USA at the conclusion of the six-month training program.

“Our ministry is committed to creating opportunities for our youth to thrive, and this course is a testament to that commitment,” he said.

He praised all stakeholders for their efforts to finally introduce the three new courses.

On his part, the Technical Director of National Sports College, Mr. Collins Kofi Eduafo, said the institute was fulfilling its goal of developing and maintaining athletes in the fields of Anatomy and Physiology, Exercise Science, Class Design and Planning, and many more.

He added that the institute has a very good relationship with the National Sports Authority.

The classes are slated to begin on Monday, September 9, 2024.
