The Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially announced the period when students, parent and guardians, can start school selection for placement into the various senior high schools in the country.
The exercise, according to a statement released by GES, is set to run for a full week from Wednesday, August 28, 2024, and end on Wednesday, September 4, 2024.

The statement urged parents and guardians to actively participate in the selection process in order to guarantee a smooth placement experience for their children.
The GES has assured that representatives from the Headquarters will be monitoring the selection process around the country to ensure the selection process runs well.
Regional Directors of Education have been tasked with communicating this vital information to Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Directors of Education, Examination Officers, and other stakeholders within their jurisdictions.
With this statement, the GES hopes to improve accessibility and transparency for all stakeholders by streamlining the school selection procedure.

By doing this, the Service seeks to ensure that kids are assigned to schools that best meet their needs and to mitigate some of the difficulties related to the placement process.
