Mohammed Kudus was substituted at halftime during West Ham’s 1-1 draw with Brentford on Saturday afternoon, raising eyebrows among fans. Despite showing no signs of injury, manager Julen Lopetegui’s decision seemed more tactical than reactive.

When asked about the decision to substitute Kudus, Lopetegui hinted at tactical reasoning and teamwork concerns.

“It was a tactical decision. I was thinking we needed that. I was thinking it was better for the team and we needed these kinds of changes. The second half we worked as a team,” he remarked.

West Ham fans will hope to see Kudus return to the form that made him a standout player last season. For now, the club will be looking for ways to unlock his full potential in the current campaign.
