The finance and entrepreneurial sectors are mourning the loss of a significant figure, Mr. John Kumah, who served as the Deputy Minister for Finance and Economic Planning and represented Ejisu as a New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament. His passing was confirmed by a family member today. Born in Ejisu Odaho, John Kumah was not only a politician but also an accomplished academic, holding a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Philosophy from the University of Ghana and an MBA in Finance from GIMPA.

As the founding Managing Director of Majak Associates Ltd, he made his mark in the construction industry before turning to law and establishing Aduaprokye Chambers. His leadership at the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) was transformative, where he trained 45,000 start-ups and supported 10,000 beneficiaries, fostering job creation and nurturing the next generation of entrepreneurs. John Kumah’s 17-year legacy is characterized by innovation, creativity, and a dedication to empowering the youth, leaving an indelible imprint on the nation’s economic and social fabric.
