This incident occurred on November 14 at the Criminal Division of the High Court in Accra. Shaw, who is representing some of the defendants, was in the middle of his closing arguments when he was approached by a man claiming to be the late Major’s uncle. The confrontation escalated when Shaw argued for the innocence of his client, William Baah, suggesting that the late Major had fired at the accused.
The courtroom drama reached its peak when court officers had to step in to prevent George Bamford, the relative, from physically confronting Shaw. Post the incident, Shaw confessed to feeling ‘scared’. This incident underscores the heightened emotions in such cases and the imperative to ensure the safety of all involved parties.
