GBF’s Second Vice President, Solomon Otoo, emphasized that the initiative aims to discover and develop new boxing talents to replace the current Black Bombers, who missed qualification for the 2024 Paris Olympics. Otoo highlighted the lack of exposure and training tours as significant factors in their underperformance.
“We’ve learned from our experience and are determined to seize every opportunity going forward,” Otoo stated. He added that the GBF is focused on selecting the best boxers and preparing them for future competitions, including the Commonwealth Games and the Olympics. He also called for financial support to aid in their training and travel needs.
