A mechanic driving a Toyota Tundra reportedly linked to the Presidency was involved in an accident on Accra-Tema Motorway yesterday.
The accident occurred in the early hours on Saturday and caused congestion on the highway.
The collision was between the Toyota Tundra, a trailer truck and a Benz 207.
No death was recorded at the time of the accident but some victims suffered minor injuries with eight passengers currently hospitalized.
According to the driver of the Toyota Tundra, the trailer hit his vehicle from behind after he stopped on the outer lane to ask for directions to Toyota Ghana.
His car then veered off onto the left lane and crossed the Benz 207.
The trailer driver on his part said the driver of the Toyota Tundra did not park well.
“I saw the Toyota Tundra parking but couldn’t park well, his back was still facing the road so I applied the brakes just like one private car following him did to dodge,” he said.
He, however, added that he failed to do same because “it’s a big truck on the motorway.”
