Edward Nana Poku Osei, popularly known as Hammer, is a renowned music producer in Ghana, best known for his exceptional talent in creating beats for famous musicians. In 2017, he ventured into the bread market with A1 Bakery, makers of A1 bread, demonstrating his entrepreneurial spirit. Despite his business ventures, his passion for music never waned, and he felt a strong desire to return to his roots in music production.
In a heartfelt Facebook post, Hammer announced his decision to leave A1 Bakery to focus on his music career. He expressed his excitement for his upcoming album, ‘Upper Echelon,’ set to be released in early 2024. Balancing his creative process with his responsibilities as Managing Partner and Head of Sales/Marketing at A1 Bakery, along with managing RedEye’s comeback album, he said had prolonged his album’s completion.

Fortunately, the A1 Bread company accepted his resignation in good faith, allowing him to focus on his music. He assured that his resignation wouldn’t affect his equity stake in the company. He also mentioned that his involvement with Ekumfi Juice as a key distributor would continue as the team aims to deliver the best pineapple juice in the world.
