The match, held at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, saw the Ghanaian side, led by coach Yaw Preko, overwhelm their opponents with a flurry of goals in just six minutes. Abdul Rahman opened the scoring at the 30-minute mark and quickly added a second goal nine minutes before halftime. In between, Adu Kwabena Meider netted a goal, putting Nsoatreman firmly in control.

Despite the Chadians’ efforts to limit the damage, Nsoatreman heads into the second leg in N’Djamena on August 24, 2024, with a strong advantage.
