Bishop Daniel Obinim, the leader of the International God’s Way Church, recently voiced concerns over the possibility of investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas delving into his pastoral affairs. Obinim admitted feeling uneasy about the potential scrutiny of his actions, particularly with regard to his admitted extramarital affairs. He asserted that his past infidelity is the only issue Anas might find, as he denies any involvement in serious crimes or fraudulent miracles.
In a candid interview, when asked about how he’d react to an investigation by Anas, similar to that of TB Joshua, Obinim welcomed the idea, suggesting Anas could start right away. He maintained that the allegations that haunted TB Joshua do not apply to him, as he has neither committed murder nor sought the services of traditional spiritualists. The hostess probed further about his acknowledged infidelities, to which Obinim responded that since he’s already admitted to these actions, they should not be the focus of Anas’s investigation.

The discussion comes in the wake of a BBC documentary that brought to light severe allegations of sexual misconduct by the late Prophet TB Joshua, leading to increased scrutiny of pastors and their conduct within their ministries. Despite not being implicated in the allegations against TB Joshua, Obinim expressed discomfort at the thought of Anas investigating his previous infidelities.
