The Ghana Police Service has today confirmed the arrest of one of the leaders of Democracy Hub – the group organising the three days protest in Accra, Oliver Barker Vormawor.

The statement said these unlawful acts happened on Saturday, September 21, 2024, and Sunday, September 22, 2024, at the 37 intersection in Accra.
Vormawor was initially declared wanted for allegedly taking away the keys of a police vehicle that came to tow away another truck belonging to the protesters for reportedly blocking the road.
He, however, denied these allegations and said he’s not hiding so the police should “stop hunting.” “Just tell me where and when you want me to show up with my lawyers. You have my number.”
The protesters also denied that the truck was meant to block the road, but came to deliver food and drinks to them.
