President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will tomorrow commission a 320-unit housing project for the Ghana Police Service.
The 320-unit housing project is made up of seven blocks of two-bedroom apartments and 13 blocks of three-bedroom apartments. Each block contains sixteen apartments.
The project also features a kindergarten school, multipurpose sports facility and many other residential facilities.
The Ministry of Works and Housing in a statement said the project is a major step towards reducing accommodation challenges in the city.
“This project will reduce accommodation challenges in our sprawling cities and ultimately bridge the national housing deficit, which stands at 1.8 million housing units,” the statement read.
The project forms part of government efforts to increase the residential assets of public service workers.
The commissioning will happen at the National Police Training School in Tesano, Accra.
Members of the Ghana Police Service, high-ranking government officials and other key stakeholders will be in attendance.
